The Tribute - Battle of the Bands is een talentenjacht die elke zaterdagavond te zien is bij SBS6. In deze talentenjacht nemen tributebands het tegen elkaar op. De presentatie van The Tribute - Battle of the Bands is in handen van Gerard Ekdom. Het doel van de tributebands in dit programma is om de grootste hits van hun favoriete band tot in de puntjes van perfectie na te spelen. Alle optredens worden natuurlijk beoordeeld door een professionele jury. Deze jury bestaat uit Angela Groothuizen, Spike en Cesar Zuiderwijk. The Tribute - Battle of the Bands start met elf bands. Elke week nemen de bands het tegen elkaar op om zo dicht mogelijk bij de originele uitvoering te komen. elke week moet 1 van de bands de wedstrijd verlaten. De vier overgebleven bands mogen optreden tijdens een groot tribute concert in de Ziggo Dome.

    Tributebands strijden tegen elkaar in nieuwe talentenjacht

    SBS6 lanceert weer een nieuwe talentenjacht uit de koker van mediamagnaat John de Mol. In het nieuwe muzikale zaterdagavondprogramma The Tribute - Battle of the Bands nemen tributebands het tegen elkaar op. De presentatie van The Tribute is in handen van Radio 10-dj Gerard Ekdom.

    De tributebands moeten proberen om de grootste hits van hun favoriete band tot in de perfectie na te spelen. Alle optredens worden beoordeeld door een professionele jury, bestaande uit Dolly Dots-zangeres Angela Groothuizen, DI-RECT-gitarist Spike en Golden Earring-drummer Cesar Zuiderwijk.

    The Tribute begint met elf bands. In zes afleveringen, die vanaf 15 januari iedere zaterdag om 20:00 uur te zien zijn op SBS6, nemen zij het tegen elkaar op om zo dicht mogelijk bij het origineel te komen. De vier finalisten mogen optreden tijdens een groot tribute concert in de Ziggo Dome.
